Chances are if you’ve been on any web forums, message boards, or mailing lists, you’ve had an invitation to play My Brute. This Flash game basically involves following a player’s link and creating a new character name to battle them, thus becoming their “student.” As you engage in “fights” with other Brutes each day, your character gains experience and potentially unlocks new talents, weapons, and followers. There is no real interaction except the choice of your few daily opponents, but it is fun to watch your character advance, and see where their strengths and weaknesses lie. If you persuade others to join as a student of your Brute, you gain marginal experience for that character, thus having the potential to advance slightly faster.
You’ll see a lot of alleged “My Brute Cheats” on YouTube which are nothing more than transparent attempts to trick others into signing up as a student of their character. I don’t believe in idiotic trickery like that; instead, this is a straightforward invitation.
