Wednesday, July 8th, 2009Fun Flash game: My Brute
Tuesday, July 7th, 2009Chances are if you’ve been on any web forums, message boards, or mailing lists, you’ve had an invitation to play My Brute. This Flash game basically involves following a player’s link and creating a new character name to battle them, thus becoming their “student.” As you engage in “fights” with other Brutes each day, your character gains experience and potentially unlocks new talents, weapons, and followers. There is no real interaction except the choice of your few daily opponents, but it is fun to watch your character advance, and see where their strengths and weaknesses lie. If you persuade others to join as a student of your Brute, you gain marginal experience for that character, thus having the potential to advance slightly faster.
You’ll see a lot of alleged “My Brute Cheats” on YouTube which are nothing more than transparent attempts to trick others into signing up as a student of their character. I don’t believe in idiotic trickery like that; instead, this is a straightforward invitation. If you are interested in trying out this fun little game, and would like to be a student of my Brute, please follow the link below:
Celestial Edition cards now in stock
Thursday, July 2nd, 2009Celestial Edition, Legend of the Five Rings’ 10th printed base set, is now in stock! New rules are in effect, and the Celestial arc has officially begun. GenCon Indianapolis will feature Celestial-legal tournaments, so it’s best to start building decks now.
Don’t forget to stock up on key cards from Glory of the Empire and Death at Koten, as these previously-released expansions are also almost entirely Celestial legal — and feature many can’t-miss cards for tournament-caliber decks.
